Sean Herman graduated from PCHS and joined the Army guard in 2007. After the guard, he went active duty and left in 2016. He currently resides in Alexandria, VA, a short drive from DC.

My family has served the military since WWII and all preceding conflicts since. Also, I felt it was a civic duty to serve since the attacks on 9/11. Lastly, I've always wanted to join since I was a kid and was thrilled by the adventure.
I enjoyed the combat arms and failed in my attempt to make it through the Q course to earn a green beret. I tried to go to Ranger Battalion after my failure but realized I didn't want to go back to being treated as a Private. I never planned on going past Squad leader and finished with two contracts as an Airborne Infantryman. I'd like to help anyone navigate through the confusing and multiple avenues you can take when joining the military.
