Looking back at the high school me, I wish I knew what to look for during my college search. For example, I wish I knew how important it was to know whether my program of study was direct-entry or not. At the time, the engineering programs at Oregon State University were not direct-entry which held a handful of students back, knocking them off the four-year graduation track. I wish I knew to look out for this as well as the internship and career opportunities the school has to offer.

Other Advice/Information

When choosing classes to take in high school, take into consideration the field you are interested in and the classes that your potential colleges look for. For example, I think it's beneficial to have exposure to calculus, physics, biology, and chemistry if you're looking towards an engineering major.
If you can, I would highly recommend taking advantage of the early college classes offered at Pearl City High School because you could earn credit for baccalaureate core courses before you even start college! As long as these credits transfer to your chosen school, you will save yourself time and money in the long run.
