Insights

I wish I was properly taught how to write APA format papers. In high school, I strictly wrote all my papers in MLA format causing me to be a little confused about this writing style in college. APA format was crucial for majority of my classes, and is something that should taught more often to high school students.

Other Advice/Information

In high school, I was a part of Health Academy with Mr. Shishido, Mrs. Brighter, and Mrs. Matsumoto. Mr. Shishido and Mrs. Matsumoto’s class helped me learn basic anatomical prefixes and terms going into my pre-nursing classes, and the case studies they have provided for it got me to fully understand what my Anatomy and physiology, and microbiology professors would talk about. Mrs. Brighter also helped me with creative writing which helped me in my creative arts class of literature, as I progressed more in my poem writing skills.
