It doesn’t really matter where you go, it’s what you learn and how you apply it once you attain the knowledge. You don’t have to be the smartest. Ambition, drive, tenacity and just doing the hard work will get your to where you wanna be.

Kristi Lopez graduated with the PCHS Class of 1998, attended Pacific University, and then went to University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. She did her residency in Internal Medicine and then a fellowship in Gastroenterology. She currently has her own private practice in Gastroenterology.

Other Advice/Information

Go outside of your field and take some fun classes too. There is so much you don’t learn in the classroom. Life experience is where a lot of the learning happens
