Mel Yamase graduated in 1977 from PCHS. He did his freshman year at University of Puget Sound, sophomore year at University of Hawaii and finished up at Whitworth University in Chemistry and minored in Biology in their Pre-Med Program. If he did it over again, Mel says he would do all four years at Whitworth University.
Other Advice/Information
I would encourage students to take a broad range of classes to be well rounded. Do a lot of volunteering in your area of interest.
