Darrell Salvador graduated from the Class of 1980 and currently resides in Kapolei. He is a proud parent of a daughter who graduated in 2007 including his son-in-law. He works for Mililani Memorial Park Mortuary from Feb of 1980 till September 2005 and is now retired. Darrell is currently with Oahu Mortuary as a Funeral Director.
What type of training/education is appropriate for this position?
My family owned 2 Mortuaries in Honolulu, Leeward Funeral Home and Borthwick Mortuary. I learned everything hands-on and worked my way up to Vice President.
What is one piece of advice you would give to current high school students?
Study hard and reach for the stars you and only you has the keys to success!
What is one thing you wished you knew about your career while you were still in high school?
Nothing, my path was set up for me from when I was in Elementary School, I grew up in my field of work.
