What type of training/education is appropriate for this position?

I attended the University of California, San Diego and received a Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science with a minor in Computer Science. I also learned a majority of my practical coding skills from online programs like Udacity and CodeAcademy. My experience interning for a start-up company was also invaluable in qualifying me for my current job.

What is one piece of advice you would give to current high school students?

Being excited by the work you do and liking the people you work with are probably some of the most important things about a job. If you're going to spend 8 hours a day doing something, you might as well do something you enjoy with people you enjoy being around.

What is one thing you wished you knew about your career while you were still in high school?

I wish I had knew how accessible web development was and how I could get started in learning hands-on how to code.
